I am a freelance journalist specialising in true-life features, predominantly for women’s media and I am the editor of regional cultural magazine, Social Buzz. I have an interest in topics including mental health, gender equality, domestic abuse and LGBT+ issues.

As well as my freelance work, I provide editorial support services to businesses and organisations, advising, planning, editing and writing for both internal and external publications.

I have extensive experience delivering news and features for local, national and international media. I started my career as a reporter for Mercury Press Agency in Liverpool, where I eventually became features editor, sourcing true-life stories and topical articles for the UK’s leading national newspapers and magazines. I spent three years at Time Inc (formerly IPC Media) in London, as commissioning editor for women’s weekly magazine, Pick Me Up. My freelance work has appeared in a wide range of titles, including Marie Claire, Love it!, That’s Life!, Daily Mirror, i newspaper, independent.co.uk.
